Ive been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus with Alopecia last year and Sicca Syndrome. The Rhuma also found Ive got Arthritis, im sure it is Osteo and also Fibromyalgia ... Now since the hot weather my heart rate is continuously fast, I can hardly breathe and have nose bleeds, mouth sores, migraines, low fever, and my eyes and throat feel swollen and itchy.
Ive seen the Derma since having heat rashes and terrible prickly heat and now am also taking Telfast 2x a day .... Are all these symptoms associated with Lupus? ... I am so fed up seeing the Doctor and I see my Rhuma this month ... Should I tell him about all this? Thank you for reading this .. Xxx

The Fibro, in view of your other conditions is likely to be a Thyroid issue, which can cause heart problems, either slow or fast. Unfortunately clinicians rely to heavily on the Thyroid Tests currently available which are notoriously wrong! Insist on another test for this it is important, and also go to your GP. Also get them to test you for Hughes Syndrome while you are there just to rule it out. MaryF
Thank you Mary, the Dr did a Thyroid test but came back negative ... The Dr knows of my heart rate as it was picked up on a 24 hour ECG ... Just seems a battle to get diagnosed when you know you have added symptoms ... -x-
Yes my tests for Thyroid were completely negative with the standard useless tests, but it showed up in others and also a more intelligent physician noticed the sluggish reflexes in my feet. Thyroid UK have a good forum on here. MaryF
Ah, is that a sign then? My Neurologist found no plantar reflexes in my feet ... I will have a look at Thyroid UK ... My doctor keeps suspecting my Thyroid yet test comes back negative :/ -x- Thanks again MaryF -x-
Mary, do you also get pain in your feet? I'm trying to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of the pain I have with my under feet, rheumatologist hasn't got a clue.
I do get agonizing feet at times, but I do also have psoriatic arthropathy, sjogrens and hughes also, but this happens when I have a flare of some sort, they don't hurt all the time. There is something called soft tissue rheumatic syndrome. I don't have it but have heard of it. clevelandclinicmeded.com/me...
Thank you for the link, v interesting, though not dealing with feet. I used to have so e degree of pain in my arches but lately the pain level has increased. I might be in a flare because I also have abdo pains, and I haven't had those for a long time. But no other symptoms, so I don't know.
So sorry to read of your worrying health problems. You must tell your Rheumy Consultant about all your symptoms when you see him this month. Lupus can affect our bodies everywhere, I have inflammation of the lining of the heart and one of the symptoms is a fast heart rate with pain that's treated with steroids and anti- inflammatories. Are you on Lupus treatment?. Let us know how you get on at the appointment and good luckX
