hi natura have you read my profile/previous posts.my dog s have been like this fro over a year and more so every day.it is concerns over pelvic pain and abdominal issues I have not had any answers for and there can only be three reasons fro persistent pelvic pain -one to do with the op I ahd to cure stress incontinence-could be -I said this to gp a few days ago and she didn't suggest a scan even tho asked for one to rule it out.is it fibro or lupus related?not 100%..the other is a symptoms of OC tho too many people take offence i say it could be that as I know for a fact scans aren't conclusive.they wouldn't be concerned if pelvic pain was a result of the op going wrong or if it was fibro lupus related

With respect anbuma you can't know that 'she knows something is seriously wrong.' But... she will certainly be picking up on your daily stress, without a doubt. Her senses will be getting overwhelmed by your worrying. Also, she might be unwell herself. I know you've had her to the vet, but you've had yourself to your doc's loads of times but still haven't got any answers. It could be the same for her. Just a thought.

she s been to t he vets and all clear.and dogs do sense/pickup on and know when their owners are ill.read lizlaurens post.i have never been given a reason for anything and ove rthe last year symptoms dismissed which could be life threatening.swelling of lips and tongue -abdomen and face and legs.skin rashes, lack of appetite.etc etc.

I know all about dogs, I have 2 beauties at the moment, owned several during my life. I also know what dogs pick up on, and an owner's stress bombards their senses.

Dearest anbuma, yes dogs can and do have the ability to know if something is wrong in the human body. It's by smell, to explain better..a dog can smell everything as well as a human can see. There have been many articles published on this subject.

We omit different smells for everything going on with us dogs pick up, fear, happiness ...

Sickness. All dogs have this but each dog communicates this differently. Recently there was a study shown on t.v. Where 5 human bladders were each put in there own Petrie dish..1 of them was cancerous, every dog picked out the diseased bladder. I will share my experience, this past march I had a life threatening case of angio edema. I was swollen all over my lips and tongue were also huge. In the middle of the night my dog started jumping all over me, sitting on my face and making howling noises, I woke sat up and realized my airway was closing. I had to call an ambulance, he saved my life.

His name was Kirby and was a bishon frise. We loved each other so much he meant the world to me. My beautiful Kirby got sick and I had to put him to sleep 8 days ago. It feels like I've lost a child and a best friend. These precious animals should never be under estimated. I wish you well and god bless you.

dearest lizlauren thank you so much for your support.im so sorry you lost your beloved Kirby.i lost my best friend Max Xmas 2006 and will never forget my bets friend and companion.hoep Kirby is happily playing at Rainbow Bridge.we do our best for our dogs and losing them is the hardest thing ever.mine mean so much more than any person and I just want to be there for them.i so never want them to go thru any upset again if anything happened to me and fro them to have to go thru the upset of beign rehomed again.that would be so traumatic for them.will show your message to my gp (no names )if I get to see him today.

quite positive consultation .not had results of chest xray.asked to go back on amitriptyline.said felt like i was dying yesterday when got back from dog walk crawled into bed and slept fro 5 hours.said he didnt think I had lupus as tests were normal(yet symptoms say it is).thought what tests they would have been two years ago and told him ENT and rheumy both did not give me a diagnosis.said he would contact the gynaecologist re pelvic pain when I said there can only be two reasons for persistent pelvic pain -OC or to do with op.ahve to go back and see him meantime when he calls me re xray will ask again why many reasons fro abdo swelling yet not considered.however he did say there was a lot of info on the internet about the op I had and tapes used.so I said you don't believe in the internet cos don't liek it when i go on the internet-contradictory or not?

youre dog is beautiful :) I too believe dogs can sense things as my dog cookie kept on touching a mole on the side of my foot, she would either press her nose on or or lick it. I was at doctors for my med review and mentioned it, to cut a long story short it was removed and found to be in last stage before cancer developed! so a big hug and buckets of kisses to cookie cup cake! x

They say a dog is a mans best friend we lost our lab to cancer a few weeks ago our other lab is not coping to well has never been on her own. When I'm not well if I have a flair up and I'm on the sofa both dogs would come and lay on the floor by me and I think they understand more than we give them credit

im so worried im not going to be here to care for my dogs.cos my symptoms have been dismissed so many times and dr says ive been tested for lupus-he insists I dont have it.never to my knowledge been tested and as far as I know there isnt a specific test.definitely not one done in last 3 years since I saw rheumy-he never took bloods and I wasn't able to tell him of symptoms.i just don't get why drs dismiss symptoms as that is what takes you there in the first place and they arrange tests then dismiss the symptoms as tests are "normal"???kept appointment for next week to argue this issue with him and ask how come other people are diagnosed and not me.and ask him what are symptoms of lupus and ovarian cancer.

both my dogs just woke me -one by pawing and one crying.had strangest vivid dream and woke feeling exhausted and looked at the clock and thought is it 4.15pm or 4.15am?throat tight and lumpy and knife like pain.ahve stopped taking meds apart from citilapram, nifedipine to see if it helps.paracetemol don't do anything for me anymore, concerned lansoprazole might be doing more harm than good in acting on stomach acid and its said ibruprofen should not be taken if have Lupus (SLE)
