I just heard on the new today that Atos are pulling out of their contract early because of death threats. Government are angry that it went public because other health assessment groups might not want to take their place. Thought I would share the news...
Atos: I just heard on the new today that Atos are... - LUPUS UK
Atos
I was looking on jobs for jobs website and there are jobs going for for this roll no exspierance needed as 2 week training will be given and work along side the nurse how can they know what a person goes through its a disgrace
Hi i agree with you lennox ista a disgrace i have always been a firm believer these people should be fully qualified but yet they sam to take anyone on with very little knowledge of this very complex illness it should be qualified people assessing.
New years eve i had another form to complete but have had no response yet i could not believe how quick it came again as it was only 9 months since filling the last one in my GP is very cross as my prognoses is very poor but still keep getting hassle from them but i will fight all the way. I dread every morning going to the letter box its very stressful .
I am perminately reg disabled and been on ESA income based.Even staff at the job centre feel sorry for me and i just hope things change for the better for every honest claiment concerned. Common sence should tell them that if you are perminantly registered disabled then you arent going to get better.
ANY company taking over from them should be qualified medical staff ..this shocks me. IF they chose to put people back into work then they should be made to follow it through..help find a job..travel..assistant if needed ect..review in job and maintain no bullying or predjidice takes place in that persons job role. If the job centre can do this (attending regular interviews with job advisor) then so can anyone putting a person with health problems back into work.
I work part time now I was full time but due to so many lupus attacks I was advised to lower my hours which I did and the hospital keep telling me to lower them more I have struggled for months working 3 days a week but still do so as I feel it also keeps me going I almost lost my job to ill health but went through hr and because they employed me knowing I had lupus I more right they my new boss realised I now work from home which I find so much better but they have kicked so many sick people off benefits and all to get numbers down if they want to read my medical records I waould say knock yourself out I don't have anything to hide
Lennox I admire you. Well done for keep going as it can't be easy. I'd love to work pt from home but I can't find anything that trains in the home and works from home! I'm going through divorce so funds are more than tight.
I have been exactly where u are I was on income support with my son going through a divorce and struggling I went to collage a back to work training course and got a job via them working for housing benefits the divorce was final and I had to sell out house what I came out with I put down in another one as the council wouldn't help me I started 2 days a week then 3 and when my new partner left me I had no choice but to go full time, but was I'll more than ever and my doctor at st Thomas told me for health reasons I need to lower my hours so back down to 3 days and I requested to work from home but had to fight em and go via occupational health but when they employed me I told them I had lupus so they didn't have a leg to stand on really as we come under the disability act and I used it to my advantage or my rights keep strong Hun love kel xx
ya hoo how fab they are off the scene
will the stazi or the nazis fill there shoes
i get a benefits & work email monthly and its been scary reading that Atos are paid ridiculous monies to do something they now nothing about. The government know about it all but seem to be blind to it all! Its a disgrace.
I am now on ESA where i have no job clubs etc, PIP id say will be much harder as the nature of Lupus.
I left work over 10 years ago as I was unable to keep the part time work reduced from full time for 6 months as I was so tired all the time and found it hard to get into work. The whole situation came to a head as my employers at the time just didn't get it at all they were so unhelpful, uncaring and well didn't make me feel as though I was 'part' of the company any longer
