For a few days now I'm getting more frequent joint pain in knees and elbows, hAnds and fingers? Is this due to the cold weather? And I'm feeling tired again

Hi mainshah, yes I defo get more joint/muscle pain with cold weather. The rain when continuous like it has been, also affects my joints. There must be something in it as I remember years ago, elderly people complained that the weather,"played havoc with their rheumatism". Don't hear that condition anymore same as catarrh, that must have another name now. !!!

I am lucky to have constant supply of prednisolone to dose myself with. I start a high decreasing course at first sign of flare. Do your meds need adjusting, and have you got raynauds ? I used to get painful cold feet but hydroxy has lessened the severity of it. I used to use hot water bottles and heat 'things' you put in the microwave. I would wear thermal everything including gloves indoors. Despite pain, it will help to move about a bit indoors to get circulation going. I would defo see Dr as raynauds can lead to big probs if left. Wish I could send warmth through to you. Get well soon

I have 3 pairs of socks on at the moment - that helps my feet and some of my pain.

Hello Mainshah, Yes I am also suffering from increased joint pains at the moment and I do think it is the weather. Cold and the constant damp we are all having is playing havoc. Plus massive increase in stuffy nose, sores in nose and mouth ulcers. The joys of a british winter! Try and keep moving, difficult I know, summer will soon be here! Oh wait, we can't go out in the sun either can we? Who says the Gods don't have a sense of houmour................
