Yes, Yes, Yes...

Our bodies can and do develop allergies as we age. Or they react more aggressively to a minor childhood allergy.

Unless there is a third option...odds are you are now allergic to blueberries...

Another thing that I would consider is whether or not the insecticides were completely washed off. The same happened to me.

The 3rd option above sounds possible as well. I've developed all sorts

I am now allergic to red chilli. Have eaten them all my life and adore Asian food.

Just one day out of the blue I became allergic. I don't know why it happened. Cheeks went bright red and swelled up. Felt strange burning sensation in head. Now, if I eat anything with red chilli in it, it happens. I now sadly have to avoid it.

Due to allergies my diet is now limited to - no additives/preservatives, a selection of small beans, bananas, grapes, blueberries and the odd mango, almond milk, broccoli, Brussel sprouts occasionally, carrots occasionally, sweet potato, little fish occasionally, egg yolk occasionally and sweet potato occasionally.

I almost died due to allergies/asthma, Crohn's, colitis, hypothyroid and loads more after the wrong prescribed drugs.

I take no drugs now and use homoeopathy and small amounts of herbs to deal with health problems being forced to change my lifestyle as one can imagine, but I appreciate every day I'm alive.

Hi,

Yes I too have reactions to things I used to eat...I was under the asthma and allergy consultant...even then I showed mild reaction to almost everything! The one reaction that really scared me was when I had a kidney scan...ended up in anaphylactic shock!

Now I take antihistamine twice a day and carry them on me at all time...

Take care x

Hi Lizziedrippin

I had anaphylactic shock after my routine kidney ct scan too. It was my first and I think it might have been mild as I didn't panic or gasp for air, which I think usually happens doesn't it?. It came on as I was getting up off the bed and made me very stary, this is what alerted the nurses. I felt quite tipsy in a happy way but my face and neck swelled and I went bright red. I couldn't talk, just smiled inanely, The crash team came and once they checked all the vital signs and were happy I was moved to an observation ward for 6 hours on a drip.

I'm not sure if this means I can't have another scan, which does worry me a little as I had cancer three years ago, (now fine) Does anaphylactic shock get worse each time?
