I am really struggling at the moment, my GP says I shouldn't be working, but I need to as I work for an agency at the moment, so no sickness benefits. I am struggling getting into the office and the parking costs are a worry, so my GP suggested a Blue Badge might help. Not sure how to go about this

Has anyone found getting a Blue Badge a problem
hi if you go on to gov.uk/ , i do believe you have to pay now and youll need to passport size pictures hope this helps
Hi there. If you are in receipt of DLA mobility at the higher rate it is automatic otherwise I'm afraid you will need a sympathetic GP and rheumy to write very supportively when your application is assessed. BBs have been quite badly abused in recent years and as a result those in genuine need are finding it much harder to get one. It's definitely worth applying though. Good luck.
HI as previous posts if you get high rate DLA you will automatically be entitled to one, but i was told GPs do not have much say now they used to be able to send a letter a medical letters that would help but the system has changed so much but its worth a try good luck x
So, if I can get DLA or the equivalent which is PIP I should get a Blue Badge, do any of you claim DLA or does Lupus not qualify, I feel quite disabled at times, my life has had to have limits set as I can no longer go for long walks or take any exercise anymore, also having to work leaves me extremely tired. When I read some of the posts on here it seems that people have great difficulty in getting benefits of any kind.
I applied for the PIP and the4 blue badge separately and it took two months for them to send me the bloody form. I have in that time been approved for my blue bade and I am waiting for them to send it to me (Should hopefully come by the end of this week) Fill out the form on line, you will need your doctors info and also what medications you are taking. It would probably help if you make a note of all your symptoms before hand. once you have submitted your online application they will write to you and ask you for some supporting documents and the fee, i sent them letters from my GP and my Rhuemy and correspondence from my GP to my work place, i also had to send proof of ID and my address.
I was then called in for an assessment where I was asked some questions (many of which are on the PIP application form) and asked to walk around the building, i had no joint pains that day but i was having issues with my breathing. she asked me who i got to the appointment and i explained that my mum dropped me out front and then went to park the car, when we were leaving we spotted the accessor watching me get in to my mums car!
