Anyone else on iron tabs?

Have tried ferrus fumerate, sulphate and now on gluconate- the first two reaked havoc with my system, the last one I have just started But how I feel is worse. I feel shaky, dizzy, more tired, like I have not eaten in a long time....anyone the same?

Me! I cannot tolerate oral iron whatever way they try, be it tablets or liquid. It feels like it is rotting away my digestive system :( Not good when I have Iron deficiency anaemia. I ended up going in as a day case for an infusion but my ferratin levels are still low

They threatened me with this too. Not sure how this happened, maybe the lupus who knows. But it seems I struggle to keep it at a good level.

I'm on iron to only started them afew days ago, feel worse then before was in pain 2day chest ake ad pain ake ad felt so tired, just pushed myself through it really coz I'm truly fed up nw x

I am on ferrous fumarate but have recently been started on folic acid as well due to an anaemia.

I kept just trying to battle through but knew there was a problem somewhere. When I was tired just walking between rooms indoors I felt it couldnt be overlooked anymore.

I started iron tablets in Feb this year after being very very fatigued and breathless. I also have IBS and bowl problems (interlinked with the Lupus and SS) but started on iron everyday for 1 week and then every other day. The breathlessness improved greatly and not as tired as I was previously, although some days everything can feel like an effort. The iron interferes terribly with my bowels (horrific most days) but I am worse if I come off them. Tried for a week and ended up back on them!

I cannot tell you how bad the iron affected my bum! Without gorry details, it was so bad that I had to leave a client's house in a hurry, find the nearest pub, run to the bathroom and still did not make it without an accident. It rips through my system! This third one is not bad in that way, although it happens every now and again, but it is the tiredness, shakiness and nausea that are getting to me. Good luck!

I've had this problem but I find it helps if I take it after a meal
