My dad has started his chemo and he is doing well, everyday he goes out for a walk. We are all being positive and this is helping all of us. I look at my dad and think there is nothing wrong with him, but then I also ask why did it happen to such a nice man?

I agree with Bill, The importance of being positive is the one thing we all have in common and research has shown that exercise has an important role to play in keeping the mind as well as the body healthy too. Wishing your dad well throughout his treatment , love michele x
Hi Andrea. I'm in the same boat with my dad. He has just finished his 6th round of chemo. He got quite poorly with it as it went on but he is now on a walking holiday having a well earned break. I seemed to go into denial for a while then had a meltdown. It's a roller coaster of emotions! I just held a coffee morning with friends and raised £450 for the Roy Castle fund (money still coming in) and that made me feel like I was doing something a bit helpful as I felt otherwise useless. Good luck and best wishes to your dad and your family. I am sure he will respond well as he sounds fairly fit. x
hi i hope your dad gets better you have just got to be stong for him
Wishing you dad the very best. Being positive is a key ingredient. I find I have up days and down days. When I find myself thinking negative thoughts everybody around me stays so positive and I find that helps so much. Try so hard to stay positive around your dad. It will mean so much to him. I wish you all the luck in the world xxx
Thank you everyone for you're kind words they mean alot! Yes at times I feel helpless and my brother and I did.a coffee morning for Macmillan and we raised just over £1000 which was fantastic, and I did feel I did a little to help.
