For those who have been supporting or following me since my mum was diagnosed with LC, I just wanted to let you know that my lovely mum passed away a week ago today. I know she had LC and there was no cure, but it was a terrible shock as she’d only just finished a course of radiotherapy and was due to start second-line treatment last week. I cannot believe I have lost her and my heart is broken. None of it seems real. She was struggling terribly with fatigue, but no pain and up until she had the radiation, she was feeling well. She went to sleep and never woke up and I have so many whys?
I am organising mum’s service, which is keeping me focused and we have asked for donations in lieu of flowers to made to the Roy Castle Charity.

Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss. My wife passed on the 18/12/2019 and I feel your pain. Lung cancer is awful. Radiotherapy was the treatment that bought my wife to the end too. Just remember the Great things about your Loving Mom.

Just woke up to this post and it has saddened me completely! I am soo sorry to hear this and puts my own situation with my mum into a whole new level of worry! Please stay strong and remind yourself that your mum will still be with you each and everyday , I can only begin to imagine how your feeling as very much like yourself my mum is my world xxxx sending so much love and prayers your way , please message if you need to talk xx
Hi Sarah, I am so sorry about your mum. I can't answer your whys, she is at peace now. I can send a hug and my understanding as I lost my mum too to lung cancer, last year. Take care, I feel your grief x 🤗
I’m so very sorry to hear your sad news ❤️ It must have been such a shock for her to go unexpectedly like that even knowing she had this awful disease.Take comfort in knowing she’s facing no more pain and she died peacefully in her sleep.
I can only imagine your heartache and it brings new fear whenever someone on this journey goes through this.
