Hi all. Does anybody else have painful upper arms after having a Lobectomy? Mine were really sore during and after pneumonia and up until the Lobectomy for Adenocarcinoma but has gradually come back and now when I have a bad bout my arms are very sore again.

Love to everybody, Danni xxxxxxx

Hi Danni,

Shoulder pain could be caused by strain of ligaments, muscles or nerves during surgery and for some patients they may experience pain for several months post op. You should speak to the GP regarding pain relief or ask him to refer you to a physiotherapist for assessment.

Kind regards,
