Last week got admitted to hospital with another seizure caused ? By brachicardia pulse dropped to 35bpm due to ? Cardiac tumour .Anyway good result I have been unwell for several weeks now ,now have a pacemaker and finally feeling a lot better ,still have delayed reaction from stereotactic treatment to brain tumour in May this year, cerebral oedema so on steroids every time I get to 2mg of dexamethasone seizures return ,so just sticking it out on 4mg until Xmas this time .I am informed that the oedema will settle so just going to stay on longer and see what happens this time .My mobility is not very good right now but you never know it may improve with the steroids ,no problems communicating so I can still boss everyone around so not all bad .To be honest just having a pacemaker controlling my very erratic heart rate has restored my confidence for a moment I thought everyone had just given upon me .It is reassuring that the NHS is still up to treating even difficult situations like my own ,I know things are not long term hopeful for me but I am not ready to give up yet ,lots to do .

Hi Diane im so pleased your feeling better and keeping everyone on their toes lol ! .It seems reasonable to stay on 4mgs and enjoy Christmas time with your family, now that you have pacemaker in situ and cardiac symptoms have improved. I think its admirable the way your coping on your journey as its been tough , but you are a wee shinning star stay strong remember be kind to yourself . I am glad you are being treated so well by our NHS , Im sure the staff wont give up on your treatment and care .sending you my best wishes .

I have been following your story too and am glad things are improving. I don't find dexamethasone easy to take either so you have been in my thoughts. Take care and be pleased with your improvements, I hope there are more to come

Best wishes Sally x
