Hi, I'm on my second round of chemo tomorrow permetexed and cisplatin. I am stage 4 lung cancer I have mets on my liver and spine. Can chemo kill the mets. The oncologist said they need to keep an eye on my liver because blood showed high enzymes? Could this be chemo working? Or mets growing?

Hi I am not sure of the answer to your question, I would imagine its the chemo.
However It would probably be best to contact your oncologist.
Take care. xx

Hello, during a course of chemo the drugs used can often alter the function of your liver which causes enzymes to be elevated, the team responsible for your care will want to regularly monitor your blood results to ensure that no damage is being done to your liver. You could discuss this further with your lung cancer support nurse, also others in this community may share there experiences with you
