Hi everyone just want to share after having 2/3 of my right lung removed a year ago this week, myself and 3 daughters proudly walked the 15 mile wirral coastal walk yesterday to raise money for Our wonderful 'Roy Castle foundation' it was tough going and a few pain issues along the way but we got to the finish in 5 and half hours ! Never dreamt i would be able to do anything like this after my surgery, hope this gives a bit of hope and inspiration to everyone suffering from this terrible disease, Im feeling elated that ive done it and would do it all again !!

Well done that is quite an achievement and one that you might have considered impossible a year ago. The fundraising team here are delighted with the support shown at the Coastal Walk. Having people like yourself involved Julie, is so helpful as it means all those who take part understand how important their fundraising is to the charity.

Well done, hope you keep well and are enjoying your recovery from the very long walk,

best wishes

Thanks Lorraine, ive never done anything like it before, the atmosphere was great and I felt quite emotional at times but so glad I did it ! between the 4 of us we've raised more than £500 with more still being donated !

Oh well done you, that's absolutely fabulous that you manage it, as a year is not long to get over a big operation like that.

I take my hat off to you.

You have got your head in the right place, your in charge, of your life not the cancer.

Good luck

Thank you Stewart !

Huge well done Julie, you must feel so good at having achieved the 15 mile walk.

It certainly puts my stroll down to the pub on a Saturday to shame.....

Stay a Well
