Hello everyone! I am back, and feeling a bit better.
Just went to the oncologist with my mom after her breast cancer diagnosis two weeks ago. Again she is 44 dyalisis patient, had a lung carcinoid removed last year and was in ICU. Now diagnosed with breast cancer and this was the diagnostic after biopsy. The oncologist said the last pet scan for her lung carcinoid follow up seemed clear, and did not see any lesion near her breast (used the previous pet scan as reference to this new cancer)so she thinks it is early stage. She also said the tumor size indicates that, but of course she has to make sure. She said only
the lumps may be removed, but masectomy is mostly the option to go for. Also said my moms estrogen something is to respond to the pill since it was positive. So it is likely it can be treated that way. If not, chemo will be talked about professionally with specialists since she in dyalisis. She said the cancer was very rare as well.
Can anyone help me know what this means too?

It means your mom has an amazing team of doctors and a wonderful, loving daughter. Seriously, they’ve been on top of her cancers from the start and because of that there’s hope fo a complete cure for both of them.
When you get results of the HER2 and her Oncotype let us know what they are. She may be more comfortable having a mastectomy even if she doesn’t really need one. She’s been through so much. She should try to talk others who have had mastectomies.
Yes, she said she wanted only half of her breast removed since there seems to be two tumors on the top. But still trying to process if she wants the masectomy to get rid of everything if possible. I will encourage her to reach out to others. Thank you!
My sister is fine. The child oncologist said she was okay and it was unlikely cancer,so she is now going to a gastroenterologist, which is a relief. ☺️ Thanks for asking
