Just a little update. My thyroid biopsy came back negative for any type of cancer and were just going to watch the nodules to make sure they don’t get any bigger and cause problems. Next is the lacrimal gland biopsy and I’m still waiting for the biopsy results from the two spots on my scalp. The doctor thinks they are likely squamous cell because I have a history of that on my neck and jawline ...but if it is, it’s a simple fix since I found it so early.
In more exciting news...I think I may have figured out what all these symptoms are from. I know I told everyone about my fall back in June of 2017 where I damaged my shoulder, elbow and left breast (implant). I was subsequently diagnosed with Neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome in the shoulder and a damaged capsule in the breast. Not the implant..just the capsule. All of my crazy immune related symptoms, fatigue, rashes, weight gain, fevers, infections, vision issues, swollen lymph nodes etc...started just a few months after this fall. Obviously I never thought the fall had anything to do with my symptoms. We’ve been blaming the immunotherapy drugs. There’s an illness called Breast Implant Illness that I may have mentioned in here before, that causes all of these symptoms plus many more. I was able to check 38 of the 40 boxes and just so happen to have textured saline breast implants which are the worst kind apparently. A fall onto the breast like the one I had can cause damage to the fill valve leaving microscopic holes in the valve, allowing body fluids to enter the implant and cause bacteria and mold to grow. Eventually this bacteria and mold causes major health problems and the women end up falsely diagnosed with Lupus, MS, Crohn’s disease, the list goes on. I’ve been tested for all of those things because of my symptoms. Well, I’m seeing a new surgeon next week who specializes in BII and complete implant removal and capsulectomy. Most of the women suffering with these symptoms get better in just a few months after explantation. There’s no way to know if the implants are the problem until they are removed. So...bye bye boobies! Lol. I’m going to have them taken out and once everything heals up from the first procedure...I’ll go back and maybe have a lift or some fat transfer. It just depends on what I’m left with once they are out and healed up. I’ve had a foreign object in my chest for 22 years and since having them I’ve had a brain tumor, lung cancer, hysterectomy, metapneumovirus, ....and now all these symptoms that are literally reducing me to someone who stays in the house all day because the fatigue is so overwhelming.
My health insurance should cover the explantation since it’s medically necessary but the reconstruction will be on me. That’s ok because if I can get rid of even half of these symptoms then I’m happy with that.
So ladies out there with breast implants...make sure you have your implants checked every couple of years for leaks or damage and if you ever land on one hard enough to get even the tiniest bruise...get it checked immediately. My right one is perfectly fine. Everything is in tact but I’m not taking any chances. They’re both going.
Thanks for tolerating my ridiculously long posts all the time. That’s another problem I have lol. Longwindedness...if that’s even a word 🙄
Have a happy Easter everyone!
