Jobst confidence stockings

Can anyone tell me how long you have to wait for these stockings to be made? I had my first pair arrive in August, unfortunately they don’t fit properly and in October I was measured again and they were slightly too big, it was decided to get the next grade up as well as remeasure. I’m still waiting for the new ones to arrive. I’m reluctant to call the clinic as I know they are very busy and I could just be too keen for the new ones.

Give the clinic a call - the delay should not be this long. There used to be a 3 week turnaround!

Thank you Lynora, I’ll give them a call.

I don’t know about that range but I’ve been having made-to-measure Jobst stockings for several years now and they come through very quickly - usually within a fortnight. Certainly not months! I suspect something may have gone awry in the ordering process. I’d chase up if I were you.

Good luck!

Thank you Deborah, I’ve emailed the person who measured me for replacement. It would’ve been simple to order if I hadn’t needed remeasuring. I only discovered the lymphoedema clinic early last year despite having lymphoedema since my teenage years (68 now) so it’s all new to me 🙂

Goodness that’s a long time to be without a proper service! I’m the same age but only became symptomatic in 2016. Fortunately I found our local service after a few years floundering around. Hope you get your garment quickly now.

I have Jobst Confidence, I am waiting on a pair at the moment. I have mine though the GP and often prescriptions are completed wrong and rejected by the manufacturer. If you get prescriptions for the stocking via the GP, request that they do not send this on and get it printed. Pick up the printed prescription and post this to Daylong (google the prescription address) along with your measurement form and contact details. You could try calling Daylong to ask if they have received a request or if it’s wrong, they are normally pretty helpful.

hi Lucy, thanks for your reply. It wasn’t through GP but lymphoedema clinic. I used to get stockings from the surgery and always had problems, so much so that I actually stopped wearing them. As I’ve got older my legs and feet have begun to ache more, so thought I’d have another try. That’s when I discovered how much times have changed!

That’s a helpful tip about getting in touch with daylong, I did get a lot of info with the stockings. I’ll give the clinician today to respond and if I dont hear, I’ll try daylong. 🙂

I’ve now emailed the clinician who has said that something has gone wrong and it should only have been 3/4 weeks so they are chasing it up to see what’s happened.
