If you have cash to splash, then give them a try! Some of my ladies have invested - some successfully, others not. Check the sizing, as a couple of my ladies who are size 20+ could not get them on. The ‘early stage lipoedema’ ladies like them.

My daughter wears them for exercising, and has had to repair the seams a few times.

You can get them on eBay for £22, I have bought a pair they have slight fault but nothing major they are only to wear in house or for bed x

Yes i know of them but they tend to be more for the sports enthusiast, particularly runners, than for medical use.

Sound good Bev, hope they help you,

Doubt they would do me any good after reading the other posts, but give them a try and let us know what happens. xxx

Hello, I have been using Proskins, (2 sizes smaller than my normal) for the past 3 years as I could not get on with the prescribed tights - could not get them on at all. I use the high-waisted ones, in the slim range which are made with silver (antibacterial) and designed for Lymphoedema among others listed. Yes, they are expensive, but they last a long time if you look after them. I probably buy one or two a year at most. They help with keeping my thighs soft ( they had become hard and uncomfortable when I was using only the knee high stockings). I wear them through the year as, even in hot weather they seem to keep me reasonably cool. When I was first diagnosed the nurse found I had oedema even up my back, so these high waisted Proskin leggings help right up to under my boobs.

Hope this helps for those who can't get on with prescribed flat knit tights.

To be honest, I find it hard to believe that thanks to leggings you can lose weight, well, really. Let's be honest?! Leggings can give comfort and lightness, it's true, but to lose weight-no. It seems to me that this is just a marketing ploy. In leggings, you can lose weight only if you do sports in them. I don't mind leggings, on the contrary. I wore leggings all through my pregnancy from instagram.com/preggo.leggings/ because they were incredibly comfortable and didn't roll off. Furthermore, I still continue to wear it to the gym or for a walk. The quality is good, nothing is visible. That's why I stopped wearing jeans at all.

Not what you're looking for?
