Lymphedema and Restless Leg Syndrome

Does anyone have restless leg that has lymphedema? I have restless leg a lot in my left knee and left arm but no lymphedema in my arms or upper body. It about drives me crazy when it comes on. I take medication for it but it's not really helping now, wishing it would STOP. If I take the med early I usually can head it off but if I miss taking it until bed time look out here it comes creeping up on me . I will shake my hands, my cats look at me like what are you doing mom, lol. But when I try to shake my leg oh my gosh the pain ouch ouch ouch, and shaking does not help by the way. Sometimes I am in bed comfy as can be watching tv and I will remember oh my gosh take the RLS med, but by golly it must read my mind because before I get it in me good here it comes. I take my meds with a caffeinated drink and it helps get it to my bloodstream much faster. I am having back surgery later this summer and the doctor thinks my RLS may be caused from the pinched nerve in my sciatic area. We know that it is causing the numbness in my arms and legs and buttocks. Yes when the butt goes numb its so weird makes me wanna shake it like a duck, lol.

Hi meme,yes i too have restless legs syndrome,so i feel for you.

I think i may be luckier than you,because as long as i can lie down as soon as it starts, the feeling usually passes and i dont need meds..not as yet anyway.such fun eh having this on top of lympho!

I also have the trapped nerve thing,sciatica,comes and goes,having quite a bad attack of it at the moment
