I take Gaberpentain 300g in the day and 300g at night to help me sleep as the heel pain is so intense and is at its worse at night. I wake up for a wee 2 to 3 times nightly.
My problem is I can only walk a few yards then the swelling on my feet and the heel pain gets worse. I have had this condition for 15yrs.
The only way I Can help to relieve the pain and swelling is by resting with both feet off the floor and taking pain killers.
I want to lead a normal life but i am limited what do suggest I do.

Bless you its awful, I have plantar fasciitis as well causing pain in heel and mine radiated up back of leg, I'm now on gabapentin and its helping I'm only on 600mgs a day but I kinow the dose can be increased a lot more, if it isn't helping and interrupting your daily living your GP needs to review, I hoope you get help, I know with the lymphedema and that in my case I was in a terrible state but better at the moment
Yes I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in both swollen feet now I have a frozen shoulder head pain neck pain and shoulder pain which travels down my right arm have taken 300grm 4 x a day to get the arm moving again and to help me sleep I do not take the meds unless I am in pain wondering if the pain in the neck could be related to LE and lymph glands.
Many years ago I was diagnosed problems with Achilles tendions with extreme pain when and after walking was and to rest I still get problems after walking a few steps and when resting with feet elevated the soles of my feet and the back of my heels are extremely painful and Gaberpentain just make it bearable but does not take the pain away completely the only way I can cope is by pacing myself which at times is a nightmare for me how do others cope please with chronic swollen feet that gets worse after walking a few yards
