Do you know which clinic you've been referred to?

The one in Edinburgh can't remember the name of it

Could be Wester Hailes? How recently was the referral submitted? If you know which clinic it is, you could call and ask for an estimated appointment time.

They are usually quite quick - but no harm in calling and asking when you might be seen.

Clinics do that to avoid sending out appointments to patients that are not convenient. It avoids DNAs (did not attend). You will get an appointment time that suits you. Good luck.

Hi Liz. I live in Bournemouth - usually lovely and sunny but today wet and miserable. Sadly there is very little help here for Lymphoedema - no clinics unless the L is a result of complications after Cancer treatment. I do , however, have THE most wonderful team of District Nurses, who take very good care of me.

I have found this site a great help, especially reading other folks queries and answers.

Good luck to you.
