Doublebase Gel is another one available on prescription, and incidentally one which Patricia Hodge has said that she uses in place of expensive body butters and lotions - although I believe she buys it from Boots rather than having it prescribed.

I use Olay body moisturizer in the shower and sometimes lidoderm lotion. I put stockings on my legs every day. Doctors and therapists say may legs are well taken of. I credit the Olay body wash the most.

I use dove body cream in shower and zero base cream on prescription on my legs every night after shower and put stocking on in the morning.

I have double base on prescription but I have a problem with hard skin on my left heel, I use honey foot and ankle cream from kthe "Quince Honey Farm" in Devon, it's fantastic stuff and really heals the skin. I use it on both feet and ankles, smells nice too. It is available on line but it's also a good excuse to visit my son and his family as they live nearby.

Balneum Plus. On prescription, or you can get it without via Net

Balneum Plus also. If you can get it on script in comes in a large press top container and lasts a long time. Or Amazon do it for approx. £25. Also there is Balneum Oil (again on script) which you use 30 mins before shower, then apply the cream on dry feet and ankles afterwards. Works very well but be careful with the oil...it gets everywhere if not careful!!

The only moisturiser which works for me is Doublebase Gel to which I add essential oils - lavender always, plus rose geranium, rose absolute Etc. I decant the doublebase into smaller plastic containers and then add the oils whatever combination I feel like on the day! I have tried Hyrdomol etc., but they sting and burn and cause a rash. I have used this combination (following trial and error) for about 8/9 years now. I moisturise every morning after my shower and again before getting into bed. Still have bouts of cellulitis, but my skin is in OK condition given the number of infections/cellulitis I have had over the last 50+ years. Hope this helps.

I have just looked through all the replies and feel a bit of a fraud as I use pure aloe Vera gel. You can get it on the internet but I stock up when I go to the Canaries. The gel is very cooling and gentle and not sticky which I cannot stand.
