Hi Torawelsh, sorry for previous post. was not sure what you mean.

Why a stomach scan? why not some eletrochocks! pfff!

I dont really understand why you need a stomach scan ! Are you not suffering from pains in your legs and ankles ? If i were you, i would go to see a young physioterapist. My physio was awesome. He figured out I had lymphedema just by examining my legs and arms. Doctors and GPs dont have the clue about lymphedema. They are going to have you done thousand of exams before they can conclude and you are going to be the one paying for all these financially and psychologically cause it is nervebreaking not to know. Trust me i know what i am referring to. It took me almost two years to figure out. You can also check for MLD terapist or specialist. They will be able to advise.

Hi Torawelsh, Sounds like you are having a rough time - I hope you get the scan quickly and if it shows nothing, (i hope it'll be clear) keep on looking for answers. I hope your your GP is being supportive now? Look after yourself as much as you can. Take care x

Hi Torawelsh, there is often a long wait to see the lymphoedema specialists - perhaps your GP would consider starting the referral process alongside ordering the tests. It can be very useful for the lymphoedema team to see that all relevant tests have been carried out as it allows them to plan your treatment better so try not to think of it as a delaying tactic more just a step on your road.
