Hi,

I'm a 62 year old male with what I believe to be anxiety.. regular feelings of what I would describe as mild panic attacks! Maybe 10 times a day I feel what I can best describe as a wave of nausea with tension headache accompanying. This does not occur generally when I am busy but in-between times when trying to relax. Appointment with GP in next couple of weeks to get a diagnosis but I am convinced of the outcome! I'm on this site hoping to find advice and tips to work through this as its been part of my life probably for years but worsened over the last few months. Actually looking forward to the GP appointment!

What outcome are you convinced of?

Hello & Welcome :-)

Anxiety can appear at any stage in your life and it makes sense for a lot of us that we do not notice it as much when we are busy but when we are trying to relax it rears it's head !

This hopefully will be something that as you have noticed it quick can be nipped in the bud as we say and you will get that diagnosis and start working on it

I understand to know what s wrong can be a relief at least then you know what you are dealing with and what you need to do :-)

If you go on you tube and put " Relaxation for anxiety " there are numerous techniques , relaxing music etc , you could search through those and when you are feeling anxious when you should be relaxing start to use them as a way of calming yourself down , I find them very useful :-)

Now you have found these Communities you will always have someone to talk to so I hope that helps even if in a small way :-)

Let us know how your appointment goes :-)

Take Care x
