Hi, Has anyone had the Carpel tunnel op to ease pain in hand? I have and have had anxiety ever since. Friends have suggested that it's the op that's caused it,after all it is cutting into the whole nerve system. It was over two years ago so looks like I'm stuck with it,unless acupuncture or other treatment would ease it.

Hello :-)

I have never had it done but know I need it but the fear even though it is quite a simple procedure makes me keep putting it of

However I know people that have had it done and said it was the best thing they did as they are no longer in pain but they don't have anxiety and I do think sometimes when we do have anxiety even a small procedure can throw our bodies into turmoil and create anxiety

I would speak with your Doctor , maybe some Counselling might help , talking it through ?

Take Care x
