Internal Shaking Awakening in AM & Going to Bed at Night

Thanks for your topic. Knowing I (we) am not alone takes some of the steam out of things like this that cause anxiety.

I have been living with this for years. I am not sure what happens at night when it happens (as I dose off to sleep at about 30 minutes it can wake me) but I think in the morning it's a chemical (maybe adrenaline) that is awakening me. Maybe everyone gets it but with us I am thinking we wake before the release. I have felt my pulse when it happens and my heartbeat is just fine. I will see if just by opening my eyes will make it stop as someone mentioned in this topic.

I've joked with my husband and friend I trust to discuss my anxiety with that I think it's my engines all turning on for the day. I need to pee, I feel my intestines turning on with a little gassy feelings and small pains. They all go away once I get out of bed.

It's the craziest thing. Inside I feel vibration from the skin inward.

Sometimes knowing we're not alone and not crazy tempers it a bit if not makes it go away. This is even thought our doctors don't understand or say they've never heard of it and we can leave the office still not feeling like we've been heard or understood or maybe even looked at like we're C.R.A.Z.Y.

I signed up with calm.com ($60 a year) and have been listening to meditations every day. I still walk lots of days for an hour. I am backing off my 3 servings of caffeine a day. No alcohol. I do take low dose (.25 mg x 2) of Xanax a day which has given me a life. I went for over 20 years without it due to the tabu of it in our society due to those who abuse it as a recreation drug after trying all the anti-"depressants" even though I am high anxiety and not depressed. It's the only thing that really works for me. I used to be agoraphobic and scared everytime I left the house. Now I can fly and take vacations, go to grocery, enjoy restaurants, etc.

Well that's all I have to say again. I just feel good seeing there are lots of people who understand.

BETZH- Your issue mimic mine- I too listen to calm at night just before i go to bed and that has helped me sleep peacefully. My mornings change from crazy anxious to ok- I realized that if I get out of bed once I awake the anxiety is not as bad. You are doing all the right things and remember all of with anxiety have these issues and are always here to help and listen. Enjoy your walks they are life savers
