I'm so tired: I have Really bad panic... - Living with Anxiety
I'm so tired
Meditation, excercise, maybe meds if needed . How long have you had insomnia? Are you seeing a psychiatrist? Doctor?
Hi there
Sorry you are having a horrible time.
I would agree with Rlich ana say meditation is worth a go. I do mindfulness meditation and once you get the hang of it it can really help.
Also If you haven’t alreday to maybe speak to your doctor and discuss medication. I have recently discussed medication with my doctor and meds to help with sleep was a part of the conversation. Also the doctor could discuss the different types of therapy’s that are available to help manage the panic attacks.
I hope that you find something to help you. x
Mindfulness is a good way to try to relax which I have not done all my life my body and mind have been on alert mode. I now go for a message which includes some head massage this has really helped will my mental and physical health then I try mindfulness putting anxiety to one side and bringing myself into the moment grounding myself eg. when anxiety bad I try watching a film and tell myself I am watching this film or bed time I am going to bed I'm getting my PJs on think of all the actions you are doing it does take a while to learn this technique.hope this helps x
Hello & Welcome help-need-sleep
I hope you managed to get some much needed sleep
It is awful when we cannot sleep well and then it becomes a fear which feeds the anxiety which then results in we fear we won't sleep and so the merry go round starts
You have had some great advise of things you can do to help , one thing I do is never try going to bed before I feel really tired
If you continue struggling speak with your Doctor there could be something they could do to help
Anytime you need to talk we are always about and hope it helps you to know you are not alone
Take Care x
I suffer with irregular insomnia. I use mindfulness. Any technique takes time and practice. Nothing worse than wanting sleep and not getting any.
Perhaps look at your bedroom from a sleep hygiene angle. Use the bedroom just for sleep and sex.
Is the furniture in the right place? Is it clean and tidy? Is it free of electrical devices; TV tablets, mobile phone? Is the room dark enough? Cool enough? Quiet enough?
Establish a bedtime routine: bath time; story time. Try reading something really boring.
Take a pen and paper to bed. Write down what's going around in your head and list it as 'to be tackled in the morning'.
Hope you're not counting sheep too much longer.
