So I suffer from anxiety and depression. I'm on week 3 of 5mg Lexapro. So far, so good. I have seen a lot of improvement. The only thing I am concerned about now is the CONSTANT physical symptoms and fear that something bad is going to happen. How long till it fades?

There is no time frame. The more you think about it the longer it will last. You need to go to the doctors get checked out so you can reassure yourself it's only anxiety and nothing serious :) Otherwise you will continue having panic attacks. It's hard I know I have been suffering now for the last 10months :(

i've been on escitelopram  (generic Lexapro) since January 10. I started at 10 mg which really helped with the depression and some of the anxiety. March 1 the dose was upped to 20mg. I don't have constant palpitations anymore, or health anxiety. But I still can't go back to work. My doc said it could take 4-6 weeks to feel the full benefits. Maybe you can talk to the doctor about upping your dose to 10mg at the four week mark. I think 5mg is a pretty low dose.

I actually put myself on 5mg. They had me on 10 but I was feeling weak and real sad so I went down. I will probably go back to 10mg tonight or when I go back to my doc. I've definitely see a difference but lately I've been having chest pains. Talked to an on call Dr yesterday an she thinks its just anxiety.. But how can you convince yourself that when you have health anxiety? Lol .. I also am ALWAYS twitchy. I also don't feel ready to get back to work but I need too!
