Can't take a deep breath.

Since Friday afternoon I have been struggling to take a deep breath. I was the same on Saturday and on Sunday and I don't know why I can't take a deep breath and sometimes it stress me out. I have been stress out about my coursework but I have know finished college and I still can't take a deep breath. Does anybody know why?

Sounds like your anxiety is focusing in on this now it see's it as a fear & this is a typical anxiety symptom

Have you tried any breathing exercises for anxiety ?

I would not recommend looking for symptoms via Google but if you put in anxiety breathing exercises lots will come up

One simple one is to take a deep breath in & then let it out like you are blowing a candle , try not to panic how much you can breath in just breath as far as you feel ok with & the more you do it you no doubt will start to be able to take those deep breaths again

Well done finishing your course work , always stressful but you have done it now so let that go be kind to yourself & do things that make you feel relaxed x
