Liver Damage and Ultrasound
We tried a home supervised private detox but it didn’t work, as a 40mg dosage of
Librium
would not ‘hold’ him safe. We’re advised he need a hospital detox, but this is not available in mid Essex unless you engage with a recovery program for 12 weeks.

What tests are needed?
Hi, My husband is on Lithium and his regular bloods from that clinic showed his thyroid results were off so he was sent to the GP for testing. The nurse said his results were fine. We haven’t been able to access the results and I imagine they only did TSH or basic tests. I want to get our own tests

Dealing with Shame & Anxiety
I experienced PPP about 6 months ago. They debated if it was truly PPP or a new diagnosis of bipolar. I personally believe it was PPP anyways, I absolutely humiliated myself and so many people had to get involved to get me to agree to be hospitalized. I had crazy delusions and honestly went absolutely

Homesick for another world
MESSAGE FROM APP ADMINS: This post contains distressing information. If you are feeling vulnerable, do take care if reading this post. EGGS, I think I’m shopping for an answer
I think I’m just shopping for a yes, but need to know. Went plant based in 1/1/24. I’m ckd3b. I have bad osteoporosis but not crippling. A casualty of lithium. You do what you think is right and I was warned all along that it could damage my kidneys. It just showed signs in the past few years. I’ve

Updated my Stack (what's in your stack?)
So I updated my stack. What's in your stack? Does it seem to be helping? Success Stories are Welcome.
About 6 weeks ago I cut Methylene Blue out of my stack. My tongue was getting really sore for a long time so I stopped. I don't think this is a side effect of MB, but it has been 6 weeks and

Carnivore Diet - Can't solidly recommend it
I have been on the Carnivore Diet for 3 months or so, as part of my quest to ameliorate as much of my Young Onset Parkinsons Disease symptoms as possible. I'll sum it up a bit for you. 1. The diet consists of animal products and ideally no plant products. I ate mostly beef, eggs and butter, but

lithium and bipolar 2
I am bipolar 2 and have had 5 episodes of depression and some hypomania since age of 20, now over 70. Nevertheless, I was able to obtain a good honours degrees in Science and +2 post graduate management diplomas in Business/ HR. I have had a successful career. This may demonstrate that people can cope

Lithium damage, need support
Hello everyone, about a year and a half ago my wife (48 years old) had her lithium dosage increased. Since then her EGFR has gone from normal range down to 26-30, depending on the test. Creatinine was high, all other tests normal, no irregular urine results on urine test. She got a biopsy done and it

Back sliding and really scared
Since increasing my lithium dose before Christmas, my symptoms had been so much better, only having mild lows for a stretch of six weeks. I was still having the two to three week rapid cycling bipolar cycles, but my downs had been very mild. But this cycle it is back with a vengeance. Have felt horrible

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely
