Is it Just Me????
It's Monday morning, I just gobbled down my ritual of 5 pills (Nurtec, Midodrine,
Lasik
, Vitamin D and Aspirin. Last but not least.... Copaxone Injection 😪. I think when I take my injection it makes me "hyper sensitive" - in other words: I can be "cry baby.".

lymphedema from prostate cancer, any advice on how to manage?
One of my dad’s biggest issues with prostate cancer is severe lymphedema from the waist down. He used to just have it in his right leg from lymph node removal during RP. Since being on the lynparza in January both sides have swelled up as well as scrotum and everything else below the waist. He was told

Tuff Nutt is back with lots of questions!
In late November, 2023, I made two trips to ER for low BP and extreme chest pain in the same week. While in the hospital the second visit, my pre ER sore throat symptoms developed into something called HPIV-3. My first evening after being discharged, I developed uncontrollable coughing. This continued

81 yr old husband got covid at physical therapy, ended up at er where they said he also had pneumonia, they also found (and removed) a quart of fluid from around his right lung. Said he had atrial fibrillation and he also needs an angioplasty. Took too long but finally got everything treated and surgery

A-Fid
5 years ago I was rushed to hospital with 100 lbs of fuild in my chest, around my lungs, heart, stomach and just rest all over me. I was diagnosed with A Fid. I am on Eliquis, beta blockers, lasix. In 5 years never had another episode. Could have been the fluid?

Lasix is a new friend
Hi. This is for those who have had issues with swollen ankles and calves.... My ankles have been huge since I first started feeling bad. Not much relieved the problem. In the morning they might be a smidge smaller but it was not a lot and did not last long. Enter PMR diagnosis and lots of prednisone

Still in HF?
Hi all, First post. This is a great forum, very informative and supportive. Diagnosed with hypertension 18 months ago, usual ACE inhibitors took 6 months to lower BP. Then came AF, on Atenolol and Eliquis, but side effects, and GP switched me to Bisoprolol. Symptoms worsened and I ended up hospitalized

Went to Pulmonologist today. Asked straight forward questions. Dr took X-ray said your lungs are shot. Have to fast for lipid and renal labs in morning. Echo showed PH. Enlarged lungs from air trapping placing pressure on right ventricle inhibiting pumping filling and pushing blood out. Heart arrhythmia

Eye laser surgery with antocoagulants
I mean the surgery to correct myopia, like
Lasik
or Lasek. I have waited a lot of years to save money for it, and finally I have booked an appointment for a first consultation on May. But yesterday I did a cardioversion and they told me that probably I will have to take anticoagulants long term.

Swollen legs on Zytiga and Prednisone
Short update on my fathers health and hoping to get some advise. My father started on Zytiga in October 2020. His PSA at the time was around 750 ng/mL. His lowest PSA was around March 2022, around 49 ng/mL. After that PSA started to fluctuate little bit going higher to 90 ng/ml and then next month dropping

For fear of seeming ignorant,,,,,how many specialists are necessary when you have or have had DT's, Pulmonary Embolisms, and possibly heart failure. I have had PE 5 different times now. Is it important to have a hematologist if you don't need to have IRN levels checked? What role would they play? And

Swelling Legs and foot? Again?
After being hospitalized for 10 days due to Warfarin overdose, I lost 50 lbs of fluid from my body. I am back on Elliquis, Lasix and Entresto and feeling good. I was so happy not to have the red swelling legs and feet. Suddenly, yesterday, I could feel my left leg itch, swelling in the foot, and redness

SPIRONOLACTASE ??
Hi -- I know that several of you have said you're on this medication because Lasix was not strong enough to reduce the fluid in your legs. My legs were so swollen up they developed water blisters which broke and it is such a mess. There is still so much water being forced out of the open wounds that
