Pregnancy And ITP

Any body Taken Eltrombopag or Rituximab during Pregnancy any stage, please share any experiance. My wife having Plt count 10K 20week pregnancy with chronic ITP. Any side effect to mother or child ????

I haven't taken it during pregnancy but was told that it would be considered if anything

I only know you're not supposed to get pregnant with Eltrombopag due to lack of knowledge on possible effects. The potential risks are unknown. I'm guessing steroids or IVIG don't work for her? best of luck...

Steroids not work and IVIG given but count go up only upto 40000. So doctor now give Rituximab weekly 100mg for 4 week but risk is unknown..

Hi, I am in same condition like yours, I am from India too. Few medicines dont have had any impact on few patients so doctors keep experimenting but You have to make sure you have having a good cordination between your gyne & hemo during this tenure. I would pray If this would go away after your wife's pregnancy.
