My girl was diagnosed last month after her platelet counts were discovered at under 10. Had IVIG.
Yesterday had more blood test and they are even lower. She's began bruising again and Tonight she has the red dots looks like a rash all over her torso and is itching. Benadryl? Or do I call the doc?

The early stages of ITP are very worrying for everybody. The good news is that youngsters can recover as quickly as they start and I expect the doctors are observing what happens. If she should develop any bleeding or sores in the mouth, take her in straight away.
Brushing is a curse as is the rash, but that is a sign that the count is low.
There are many medications for ITP and what works on somebody else may not work for you. Very much a trial and error but Ivig is one of the best and also most expensive.
Look at the ITP web site for more information and help
Hello those little red dots are petichai which is another sympton of the platlets being low so actually you need to call the doc if u havent already... Also when platlets get that low and shes a soccer player u gotta be more cautious.... From her falling or getting hit or getting a cut.... To be honest its gonna be a roller coaster ride. But good luck and let us kno what the doc says.
