You need to ask your consultant as everybody is different I'm not a bleeder and just have ITP but my consultant doesn't want me to fly if count under 40 but I fly for 13 hours
I agree with Lynwoodley's reply... you need to check with your consultant.
Hopefully you'll be well enough to travel. x
If you look at the ITP Support Association web site, there is a report regarding flying from an eminent ITP specialist in the UK. Personally,I am not a bleeder andI have flown all over the world with a steady count of 10 and not worried. Hope this helps.
I have flown many a times for more than 16hr in a stretch with less than 10k count to. Not sure if age is a concern, please check with your doctor once. When I had tooth extraction, my doctor wasnt letting me fly for initial 15 days.
Similar question, count consistent below 10 for two years, taking no medication/treatment. The most recent count was 1. Will it be a problem to travel by air for 12 hours? Does anyone has experience?
