Hearing loss
My upcoming AN surgery will result in permanent hearing loss in my left ear. What is the experience of living with hearing in only one ear, and has anyone had cochlear implants? How effective are they?

Should I be pushing for further investigation? Help appreciated ❤️
Hi everyone, It's my first post here after watching over the last few weeks! I'm from the UK and having a bit of a mare getting my GP to seriously investigate what's wrong with me. I'd really appreciate your advice on my blood test results in particular. Apologies in advance for the essay 🙈. Skip to

Rectovaginal endometriosis
I had a subtotal hysterectomy due to a fibroid 3 months ago, keeping my ovaries and cervix.I have just found out that during the surgery, that my surgeon found that I have rectovaginal endometriosis as my rectum is fused to the back of my cervix. Due to gynaecological abnormalities my cervix wasn't removed

Hello I joined the group again after about 4 years . Unfortunately my Tinnitus hasn’t improved , in fact it has become louder. I’ve had 7 operations on my ear and now onto my second cochlear implant. Just wondering if anyone has a cochlear implant , but still having awful tinnitus? It’s a horrible illness

Operate or not. No win situation.
I was diagnosed in 2015 with a smallish A.N. and have been on a watch and wait programme since then.I was diagnosed as bilaterally deaf. This year I was called in by the consultant and told it has now grown to an operable size. My problem is that I am also profoundly deaf in other ear, my hearing aide

This is the first time I have been through this and looking to see if anyone can tell me a little more about the process and what kind of timescales to expect for starting treatments? (I’m in Scotland

Tinnitus and Cochlear implants
Hello .. I’m just enquiring if there is anyone out there who has a cochlear implant and tinnitus. I’ve had a lot of operations on my ear , and onto my second cochlear implant. I’m in pain still after these operations and still have awful tinnitus. Just trying to get on with things!

Anxiety and A-Fib
I had anxiety over getting a Cochlear Implant done. I was taking Atarax on top of Zyrtec which causes QT Elongation. So I was diagnosed with AFIB and sent to the ER. Prescribed Metoprolol and a 81 mg aspirin. I didn't take the Metoprolol because it was on a Recall list by the FDA for 3 months as it

Pelvic Scar Tissue and Adhesion but Negative Lap?
Hi all, I had my first lap yesterday and the staff were amazing. Luckily I don't have that dreaded shoulder pain! My surgeon came in while I was still very dozy and I was struggling to speak with my dry throat so I didn't get to ask many questions. All I remember him saying is that they found scar

Hi I'm new, first post. I've had issues with a raised Hba1c for many years. After asking over and over, as I'm healthy weight and eat well, could it be linked to any other health condition, and being told no, finally after much research I've been diagnosed with PCOS. I've seen a specialist as

I'm new, irrational fear of surgery help and pain medication not working.
Hello, I am soon to be 20 and have recently been told I very likely have endometriosis. On one hand it was amazing to know that something can be done about this but on the other hand comes all of the questions along with a potential diagnosis. I am to start on the contraceptive implant that will hopefully
