I had my first lap yesterday and the staff were amazing. Luckily I don't have that dreaded shoulder pain!
My surgeon came in while I was still very dozy and I was struggling to speak with my dry throat so I didn't get to ask many questions. All I remember him saying is that they found scar tissue in my pelvis and an adhesion on my bowl, that it could be from endo but my contraceptive implant is keeping it at bay.
However all my paperwork says negative lap and no follow up? I'm just feeling very confused that I've got scar tissue in my pelvis even though I'd never had surgery until yesterday.
Will the surgeon speak to my GP and will my GP contact me to discuss or should I phone up myself?
Thank you all!

hi sounds like you did have some active endometriosis and this has caused the adhesions and the implant is stopping any new activity. i have lots of adhesions from old Endo tissue but during my last surgery for the removal of my ovaries no active endometriosis was found
Thank you that makes sense It's odd that the surgeon was happy to tell me I have lots of scar tissue but did nothing about it? I don't know if you can remove old endo tissue.
Oh bless you. It's just awful. I had a simular experience after my lap, like yourself I was all drowsy when the specialist popped her head around, she told me I have adenomyosis, a bulky uterus, but to just ignore my diagnosis!
Later on I received my notes that stated my pelvis appeared entirely normal. I was also discharged.
I felt so disheartened & confused.
After complaining to PALS, I am now on the wait list for a hysterectomy.
