coma dreams

I am recovering from a sepsis coma after dying twice. During the coma it was never ending 5000 coma dreams. I am curious to hear others who have had outer body experience as well. I wrote down mine and surprise to hear a person on the radio who had a similar journey.

the interesting thing about coma dreams is that one just spilled into another, unlike normal nightmares, you couldn’t shake yourself awake so they were continual. Very unpleasant experience- they felt real.

They also confound my sense of past - I am uncertain of it - what really happened & what didn’t.

Exactly. Yes mine spilled into one after another. There was a time where I was floating in some kind of bubble. Just moving along but there were beings working. The beings including myself where super tiny at the microbiological level. They appeared to be packaging DNA for a type of data library. I recalled the being looking directly at me in a friendly way. I could not see my body as the form had changed however I took this trip and retained it by writing it down after I re-emerged from the coma. I now am zeroing in on DNA construction to better understand where it comes from as the knowledge could be used to heal.

I posted a link on here previously to a NbBBC Radio 4 programme on ICU delerium. It involves an interview with a former ICU patient and a psychologist who explains about induced coma and delerium. This link may be of interest.

I had some really trippy dreams ranging from people dying to being a doll in a box, going out for a meal with my friends and then ending up caught in a kaleidoscope that kept moving me further away from them...there were more!! I later found out that it was due to the coma and the drugs they gave me coupled with them trying to bring me out of my coma a couple of times. I wasn't sure who were the staff in ICU and who was made up in one of my dreams! I also found that some of the dreams continued for a while after I left hospital.

My experience was very similar. Like you and others, I was "locked in" to my nightmares, most of which were very distressing and usually involved extreme violence. Another recurrent theme was thirst. I'm sure my delirium was exacerbated by the nurses failure to address this by using the sponge to moisten my mouth. The thirst issue is one that should be addressed as a matter of urgency by all ICU teams. The suffering is unnecessary and avoidable. There is a need for standardisation and better nurse education, but who do you tell and who will listen and act?

I had sepsis in my neck. They cut my neck from ear to ear. After surgery I was unconscious in recovery room. The oxygen stopped working. I unconsciously kept pressing an emergency button and could someone say what Is the emergency. I was told this is when I died the second time. Later when I woke I couldn’t talk because of surgery. I was told I was doing fine but I pulled out my feeding tube. My wrist are tied to the bed how could I ??? Of course during the rescue they pulled it out. Later they tried to put the feeding tube in while I was awake. 3 tries and I couldn’t do it. I said no more! I lost 39 pounds. After 60 days healing the swallow test of a teaspoon of water was done. It went down correctly not to my lungs. Just then the saliva in my mouth turned on… yes the thirst was tremendous.

Coma dreaming

One of the first dreams was a woman on a ancient golden chariot whipping two angry white horses. She was far away and coming very fast toward me screaming “yaaaa!! YAAA!!” I recall the fear as they we’re going to run over me…. Just then a blue scene and a voice “who is the sick boy?” And I recall I am not sick… not me I am not sick appearing to be in a light blue Cadillac…. Then lights out

Most of us her have experienced this. Some horrifying some puzzling some amusing. I escaped lightly. Yes my greyhound came to see me every day dressed in a nurses uniform walking on his hind legs with a covid mask on would take my temperature wink at me and say don’t tell ‘em dad. Ted keep most of the bad ones at bay.

I have never tried to make any sense of specific hallucinations, but have managed to classify all of them into three categories. Things that didn’t happen, Things that did.Things that happened but which I only experienced through a reduced number of senses and my imagination filled in the gaps.
