hello lovelies,
first of all thank you SO much for your lovely comments and endless support on my last post. i am blessed to have met such a beautiful bunch of encouraging, positive souls.
so in the early hours of monday morning, i began coughing and vomiting again only this time i couldn’t regain control. i was taken to a&e where they did an x-ray of my chest / lungs, and took blood tests for any signs. we found that i’d minorly aspirated and i had developing pneumonia (3rd time this year). i was kept in for a few hours to get my oxygen saturation back to normal and safely administer my first doses of antibiotics, the discharged with two courses of antibiotics for the next 7 days with the advice if these aren’t kicking in by day 3 then i’m to be admitted for IV antibiotics.
today i went for my ENT appointment to look at my vocal chords; as when i was in hospital back in May, a Nasal Recording showed one of my vocal chords was paralysed from the multiple tubes in my throat. we did another recording, and i’m happy to say my vocal chords are completely healed & working in perfect synchronisation. the current loss of my voice is due to the acid burning my throat, but i should make a full recovery.
