Has anyone else experience inflammation aroud the heart?

They start my dad on antibiotics to counter act this as they think it could be infections but very slightly.

It does unfortunately. It attacks the heart, kidneys, brain... it's a cruel virus. But hopefully our loved ones will fight hard against it. Let's not lose the faith 🤞

I just keep reminding myself that If our love ones are fighting then so should we.

Hopefully most of the damage can be reversed as per my readings. So let's send them strength to pass through this stage 🙏

Yes, the damage can be reversed. Sepsis had a go at my heart (alongside most of my other organs) 4 years ago and I'm still here.

I’m attending a telephone conference with various ICU units this week - to find out if this virus affects recovery in specific ways.

Whilst I was in ICU, because I was so immune compromised, I picked up other virus - one that could blind me for instance - so I’m trying to find out what people should expect as the recovery process gets under way. I know that it would appear that lots of your loved ones are taking along time to wake after induced coma. Is this due to virus or that they have been on dialysis & long term sedated. I will glean as much info as possible and feedback to you. It is important for everyone to realise that no studies have been completed yet and everyone might to confusing correlation with causation. I hope everyone has increasingly hopeful news.

Similarly to @videodragons sepsis attacked my heart, kidneys & respiratory system, severe ARDS finished off my lungs and they thought I’d have brain damage because of hypoxia- I have minimal scarring on my lungs and everything else has repaired - I’m might be a bit daft - so nothing has changed 😀
