This is the most comprehensive piece of literature I’ve seen. A collaborative pdf from Dublin’s MMUH.

“Today is the day that you need to set your personal goals towards recovery and start working towards your future.”

My husband is presently in ICU in the Dublin hospital this manual comes from.He developed Covid after open heart surgery. He had a trachestomy two and a half weeks ago.He is progressing in baby steps but is lucid and calm and is managing fine on Nippy. He has had setbacks and needs dialysis but antibiotics seem to be working on infections.I wrote here a few weeks ago.As everyone here knows,it is so tough for everyone involved but hope and prayers and excellent medical care are all working

That is good news - wishing you and your family a happy outcome.

Thanks..He has been in hospital since February 13th.He had knee surgery on February 4th which he was cleared for heart wise but got really sick afterwards at home.A trip to A and E and his kidneys and liver failing.Open heart surgery and then Covid...Hopefully he is able to recover now.He is 59,a non drinker or smoker and is not overweight. He seems to have lost stones now and is weak but starting to sit out of bed now with help.

For different initial reasons, but very similar story to me. Motivation for him is going to be hard, I’m guessing you will be shielding - I suffered the most debilitating fatigue - sometimes making physio near impossible.
