I am sorry your Grandma has been so ill. It is very difficult for you and your family. It takes time for the drugs used to induce a coma to work their way out of the body especially when the person is ill. Here is a link that explains more about induced coma. Remain hopeful. My younger brother was placed in a medically induced coma and today is back to good health but he was critically ill at the time.

Yes this is a good sign. You know your Grandmother better than anyone. Remain hopeful. It is a very good sign she is responding to you. When my brother first started to wake up he could only communicate by raising his eyebrows. Keep talking to her to reassure her of your presence. It will take time as her body is dealing with illness as well as all the drugs used to induce coma. The body has a lot to cope with. We are sending our best wishes to you and your family.

It is nice to hear about your Grandmother. It sounds like your Grandmother is making more progress by being able to respond and to laugh and have emotional reactions. Please continue to be patient. I know it is so hard and families desperately need reassurance. We did when we were suffering during my younger brother’s illness. It takes time for the body to recover after all the trauma and medication. We send our best wishes to you and your family for your Grandmothers recovery.
