bleeding in mouth
Hi, well today had nosebleeds again I think it is INR being high, also bleeding gums yesterday, but it has subsided now. Are your gums bleeding? also sometimes I have small blood blisters which decide to burst?
Happy New Year
from Devon
Yup Daisy, my gums bleed daily, sometimes with eating always with teeth cleaning, occasional nose bleeds when my INR goes up. To be honest I think it a small price to pay to know blood is thin enough not to clot, but for some maybe not.
Happy new year to you, and I hope 2012 is a good one for you and everyone on this site, actually the world over
yes...I believe it was coming from my gums...there was just so much blood and even though I have been on warfarin for over 11 years, I had never experienced this so bad before. I'm feeling ok now, thanks for answering..Happy New Year!
See your dentist, and get INR checked. Your dentist needs to see a recent INR result.
Dentist can advise on gum problem. Gums will bleed if you have gingivitis or you have incorrect oral care techniques. You may have to change your mouth care routine. My dentist checks my INR book every visit and gives me specialised advice based on my condition. I go every 6 months for check up or more often if I have any pain or bleeding.
