Bleeding of the brain
Hi,
We are no Doctors here. I am sure you have read the answers from yesterday. Please contact your Specialist of HS/APS or ask the Hematologist to contact the Doctor who is in charge of your treatment and who knows our illness.
Best wishes from Kerstin in Stockholm
Like Kertin says, please talk to the docters that are treating you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
This happened to me 7 1/2 years ago. I had three blood clots and a bleed, but at the time I wasn’t diagnosed with APS. I was initially put on a heparin drip to break up the clots, I had no infusions but did have three fluid drips going into me in various places as I was servierly dehydrated. I had two other lines going into me too! As I had to be put into a drug induced coma for two days most meds were done through a cannula. Once I had been woken up I was put on aspirin and clexaine, then weened onto warfarin once I could swallow the tablets. The medical team know what they are doing and you are in the best place! They have to stop the meds for a while as they don’t want you bleeding out any more, so they have to let your blood thicken again slightly until it is at a safe level for them to restart you on more meds. I hope you are feeling better soon. Thoughts are with you xx
Please let us know how you are getting on, I hope your team have put a sensible action plan in place for you. MaryF
