Hi Julie, I had a clot too, a couple of years ago now, and remember how awful I felt. Hope you start to feela bit brighter soon. I reckon that the tiredness is not directly from the clot, but is part of having 'slow moving' and 'sludgey' blood in general, added to the whole shock to your body of having this crisis. Add in a feeling of being generally unwell too, and the body cries out for rest and sleep to help it recover. As far as possible...listen to what your body says and look after yourself. I wish you well again, Larraine xx
Hi there tiredness and bad fatigue can happen after a clot or with the condition in general. Have you been fully tested for everything including Lupus, as well as APS. I hope with some rest you pick up a bit, sunshine is on the way, and that certainly perks me up after a bad patch. Kind Regards Mary F x
I had a dvt then pe, recovery is a slow progress, your body needs sleep to heal. Along with that is sludge blood which doesn't move the oxygen round the bloodstream, so causing tiredness.
Give yourself time, rest when your body says so!! Pace yourself and be kind to you!!
thank you for the advice its nice to have somewhere to come and ask about things ,as drs dont seem to have time to explain anything.
They took some blood when i first went to hospital and said the test showed signs of a clot ,then scan confirmed it ,they asls took blood to test for some rare illness dont know what they are ,hopefully will find out in june when i see consultant .
I am gonna ask about the aps ,huges etc when i go so any help will be gratefully .
