Hi sharonap

Was interested to see your comment about beta-blockers and warfarin, may I ask if you were given a reason why you could not take both. I have been on beta-blockers since a massive heart attack in 1996, and on warfarin since 2009, following multiple bi-lateral emboli. I have repeatedly asked for my medication to be reviewed but the specialist always seems to consider it unimportant. I would be interested to know if there is a specific reason for the advice you were given

thanks Suzie

I do have twitching but not all the time. I havent been told its APLS related but the twitching definetly gets worse when my APLS symptons are worse. The neuro said it was medication related but i still have them after changing meds. They can be quite noticable sometimes and in fact trying to type on the pc can be interesting, I end up at some sites i wouldnt normally go !!!

I was using the keyboard on the computer yesterday and two of my fingers on the right hand were just moving all over the place. Then oddly later on one toe of my left foot started doing a little dance. It is so odd because it was the toe next to my big toe and toes just dont move like that. It was so weird that I video taped it from my phone!!

What kind of twitching do you all have? I have had some for a few years & it got worse when I started having back problems so I figured it was from nerves. I had back surgery 10 months ago & still have twitching of my legs, toes & sometimes fingers. Also, I am having leg & toe cramps which have continued since my back surgery. The leg cramps started 19 years ago when I was pregnant with my son for which I was on treatment for aps. Anyone else have similar symptoms? Could it be related to aps? 20 years ago I was told there were no health problems related to the antibody problem ( was not given a name for it at that time), but just this past week found a name and website for it.

Hi.... it is mostly my fingers and toes. I have leg twitching which they said is restless leg syndrome. I think it is all tied in together.

I was diagnosed 20 years ago too...they didnt tell you then it was APS/Hughes??

Even though there can be so many reasons why we have all of these things going on...I tend to think they are related from what I read, atleast with my symptoms.

WHere do you live? I am in Ohio

Hi, I live on the coast of NC. Yes, I was never given a name only that it was an elevation of antibodies that attacks foreign objects in my body & gets rid of them in my case pregnancies. They told me if I was going to be sick from it it would have happened in my 20's. They said I was borderline, so they didn't know how much it was affecting me The first time they tried aspirin & heparin together, I had my son.I have looked it up from time to time but last weekend was the first time I found a name & this website. My son suffers from chronic migraines so I am having him tested.

Yes, only on right side. Started after first stroke.

I have been on beta-blockers, alpha blockers, Coumadin, Lovinox, Kepra, Clonazepam, Lipitor since 2003. In CA, US. Had first stroke in 2003, while on operating table for APS induced heart blockage. Three more since then. I can sometimes control the jerking by wiggling my fingers on right hand. They have named them Myoclonic seizures. I have hundreds every day, lasting minutes to hours. I do not loose cognative function or do not pass out. My thinking gets "foggy." Don't know answers, this is just part of my story.

I too have twitching, especially in my legs and arms, more so when I get tired or I am having a flare with either Lupus or Hughes.

I have been on beta blockers for ten years +, not for heart problems but for tremor and migraine, I have been on warfarin for 3 years, no one has ever queried me being on both.

Hi Sue....do beta blockers stop the tremors and twitching for you?

Beta blockers help loads with the tremors but not the twitching.

Sorry to butt in, but do the beta blockers also help with the migraines?
