Does anyone use this blood test, instead of or in conjunction with a Protime, to monitor their level of anti-coagulation? Successful?

Many thanks for your responses.

I did one time. It matched my blood draw and meter reading.

yes, I have. ( for those wondering, it’s often used as an alternative way to check for the lupus anticoagulant specifically if on warfarin.)

It’s measured as a percentage. It’s been a while since I’ve worked in this particular metric.) it’s then measured against the gold standard VP inr which is drawn at the same time.

It did show quite a discrepancy between my two values , indicating a LA . On my initial test with a hematologist.

I continued to have it drawn as a proof of concept with my GP for a couple of months about two to three times a week. It was sometimes within range of INR, and sometimes not ( meaning the “true inr” was far lower when factoring in the chromogenic factor X result. This indicates also a LA specific result in addition to my always present aCL and B2GP1 antibodies.

There is a graph with a x and Y axis you can look up to find the value equivalent.
