Hi everyone

I’ve taken a long time to update all the kind people who offered me useful advice in September when I posted about my problems with raised thyroid results, breathlessness and extreme fatigue. I have recently seen the endocrinologist who confirmed that I have an overactive thyroid which was causing some of my symptoms but wouldn’t commit to the breathlessness being caused by the thyroid problems as he felt a cardiologist should diagnose that. One of my main symptoms was with my digestive system causing very frequent diarrhoea which resulted in me losing over a stone. This was quite debilitating and contributed to my weariness and also feeling so low. Also, in relation to my APS my INR has been very erratic but hopefully that will settle soon. My legs were weak and I felt rough. The brighter news is that I have been prescribed Carbamazepine and am starting to feel much better and the weight loss has stopped so I’m beginning to feel much more positive.

Again, many thanks to all who responded.

Thanks for the update and so glad your getting some medical support and diagnoses. Sadly for us it's one step forward, two back! Keep fighting, keep building up your strength, be kind to yourself and listen to your body, when it says rest, rest - when it says a little more each day, do just that.

Take care x

I read with horror my typo on the previous post which should read " A way forward!"

Every time one of us posts about a symptom or complication we are "paying it forward" so to speak as someone on this site will feel supportive connection with others who shared the same or similar issues. Even better when we post behavior or medical changes that helped this or that APS onus.

A great time of year to point out that on this site, receiving and giving loop into each other so well!
