I just got the first dose of the covid vaccine and wondering if anyone who’s gotten the vaccine noticed that it affected their INR.

I have not heard that it has. I know one lady with APS who had the vaccine, and she did not mention to me her inr was affected.

I do have one more resource to check for a bigger sample size- I’ll get back to you.

Hi Loretta,

Had your Specialist told you to lower your INR-dose before taking the Covid-19 shot?

I was told to lower the INR before taking it. I have not yet taken the shot here in Sweden.

Hi, I have had the first Covid vaccine, and it did not affect my INR at all.

My specialist said not to lower my INR prior to the vaccine, just to meassure my INR 3 times the first week 😊

In answer to your question, and not myself, having to maintain an INR,I would guess as with any new medication, virus, infusion, or vaccination etc, it would be good to keep a close eye on your INR, you will undoubtedly know yourself, better than anyone, if you are not feeling quite right. I hope it all goes well for you. MaryF

Not hearing a lot back- only one more report from someone with APS, and the answer was no notice of a change in INR. ( from thrombosis UK.)
