Trying to avoid heat exhaustion like i experienced last summer. That was awful. It happened because i was out working in my yard/garden not paying attention to the heat because it really wasnt bothering me, i was fideling around all day, ate dinner, showered lay down to sleep and room started flipping around like a fast paced credit on a movie screen and i mean really fast. I started vomiting and tried to stand and couldnt because I couldnt get my balance. I called my husband to help me and thank heavens he was there. We thought i might be having another stroke. Ambulanced to the hospital and had full work up, then was admitted for observation and many bags of IV solution, I then felt better. It was very scarry so please make sure you limit your sun exposure and hydrate, hydrate.
Dont let this happen to you!
And be wary of alcohol and caffeinated products as they will evaporate the fluid right outta you. Youve been reminded🥰🤗

When I was a student at Vanderbilt in Nashville one summer term I had a few attacks of heat exhaustion and one event of a life threatening full blown heat stroke. (Now that I have had APS induced mini strokes as well as that heat stroke I know why they call it a heat STROKE. The feelings and symptoms are so similar.) But I digress...
So.... one would except that in my 60s I would be even less tolerant of heat, right? Wrong. A better diet, and magnesium supplements have made a huge difference. Back in my younger days I rarely worked up a sweat. Now, this summer with our temps in the high 90sF I sweat buckets but, as long as I drink a lot of water and dont do anything stupid, I feel fine.
So my addendum to you in this horridly hot US summer: yes, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Wear a straw hat if in direct sun. And, unless these are "No Nos " due to your individual health profile, add some magnesium and potassium rich foods to your diet: bananas, avocados, nuts. And if you dont sweat a lot, despite drinking a lot, time to discuss this with your doctor. You might profit from supplements.
