Or anything that has gotten you laughing. Even some good jokes or riddles? I need a good pick me up.

Good morning I hope your recovery is speedy. I know its a bit old hat now but the only book I have ever read that had me laughing out loud whilst reading it was Bridget Jones Diary. I would read it on the bus and have some strange looks thrown in my direction because of my laughter xx

I hope you are feeling better, and I too like Sedaris. I also suggest Mark Twain’s “Innocents Abroad,” which is about culture clash of midwest farmers on a European tour.

I'm almost finished reading "The road to Little Dribbling" by Bill Bryson. Maybe it's because I'm old but it had me chuckling a lot-And comparing my husband to a few things!. It's a combo of US/UK humour.

Definitely David Sedaris! Also Bill Bryon 'Notes from a Small Island'

'The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy' any of the "Just William" books by Richmal Crompton, 'Unreliable Memoirs' by Clive James. All books that made me laugh out loud.

Hope you are feeling better.
