I just got my liver test results. My ALT is a 6 and the AST is a 10. They did not go over these with me. Are they whithin normal range? Should I be worried? Thanks

Hi, if something is not ok, they will be in touch, but if I were you I would ring the actual clinic where you had the tests done on Monday, they will be used to patients ringing them to ask about this sort of thing. MaryF

Hi.

I agree with my colleague, Mary.

Where are you from?

Do you have APS/Hughes Syndrome?

I also need to ask you if you have a diagnosis of Hughes Syndrome/APS, can you please let us know. MaryF

We are really not doctors on this site just sufferers of APS. You really need to discuss this with your own specialist. We cannot give advice on results

Quoting from my booklet...ALT/ AST are tests to see how your liver is working.Rising levels may indicate liver inflammation.they are usually less than 50u/l hope that helps but ring the clinic and ask them to explain and that will put your mind at rest
